Front View of an FA-50PH of the PAF armed with American Weapons |
The Department of National Defense (DND) recently released some Photos of the FA-50PH Fighting Eagle Aircraft of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) heavily armed with American made and/or designed Weapons (see the Pictures above and below).
On the outer Wingtip Rails were likely AIM-9L Sidewinder Air to Air Missiles. On the outer Pylons under the Wings are Paveway Guided Bombs, and on the inner Pylons under the Wings were the AGM-65 Maverick Air to Surface Missiles.
These are about the most impressive Pictures we have seen of the FA-50PH thus far.
‘AIM-9L’
Just a note on the Sidewinders, somebody sent me Message a couple of Months ago showing the Mock Ups or Display Models of the AIM-9L. The Display Models were obvious when seen up close sine their Nose Domes were painted on only.
Unfortunately I still cannot share those Photos in Public since the Sender said so. I don’t know if the Sidewinders in the Pictures above and below are such Models since we can’t see them up close.
