The Philippine Government is in the process of acquiring a Full Motion Flight Simulator (FMFS) with Cockpits for the Bell 412EP and S-70i Black Hawk Helicopters of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) with a budget of Php 246 million (or Usd 5.1 million, assuming an Exhchange Rate of Usd 1 = Php 48).

Delivery is within 545 Days or 1 ½ Years, with a Warranty of 2 Years. The acquisition is now undergoing a Negotiated Procurement after 2 failed biddings. The opening of the Request of Quotations (RFQ) has been moved to the middle of this Month (July 2021) as of now.

An FMFS or also known as a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is described as an Equipment used to, "... duplicate all aspects of an aircraft and its environment with the use of motion in all six degrees of freedom and high fidelity visual systems".

‘My Notes’
This Project initially covered only the Bell 412EP and the AW109, but they have set aside for now the AW109 and put in the S-70i which I think is a good thing considering the crash that happened recently.

I hope this Project pushes thru as soon as possible, I think this will be a big help in terms of Training our Pilots, especially with Night Training. It will still take some time though for it to be delivered while the rest of the S-70is are going to be delivered soon.
