The Kaliningrad Corridor

A day after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia last February 25, 2022, Maria Isabelle Comstock asked his Father, who is a retired American Intelligence Official about what his greatest fear is about the War. And his response was that if Russia pivots to the “Kaliningrad Corridor”.

You can watch the Video above, and by the way, just in case you are wondering like me, “Bellicosity” means “an inclination to fight or quarrel” as per the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

Aside from that, I also ended up searching what the hell he meant by the “Kaliningrad Corridor”, and it turns out that Russia has a Province that is separated from its conventional Borders called Kaliningrad

If you look at the Map, in order to reach Kaliningrad by Land from Russia, you will have to pass thru the Countries of Belarus and Lithuania. No problem with Belarus as it is currently a close ally of Russia, but Lithuania is not, and it is a Member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

So the “Kaliningrad Corridor” mentioned by Maria’s Dad is likely that piece of Territory belonging to Lithuania that is between Belarus and Kaliningrad. Of course if Russia takes it, then NATO will end up fighting with Russia also.

Also, getting that Territory or “Corridor” will effectively cut off the NATO Countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia by Land from Poland, which is another NATO Country.
