Anyone can do a quick Search on Google and read the many Articles about the Azov Detachment in the Internet, but if you don’t want to do that, then let me give this Summary about that Unit.

By the way, they used to be known as the Azov Battalion, but has since been expanded into a Regiment. They are also known as the Azov Special Operations Detachment or the Azov Regiment

The Unit is officially a part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it follows the Chain of Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces

‘Won’t Admit Nazism’
The Case of the Azov Detachment is like the Case of supposed “Red-tagging” here in the Philippines where you have a Group that has a lot of evidences that it belongs to one group, but just won’t publicly admit it.

I don’t know why they won’t admit it outright, it is likely because they are ashamed of their Beliefs, and that they know People will be turned off if they knew they were Nazi Sympathizers and Racists.

In a way they are just a bunch of Cowards who are unwilling to fight for their Beliefs in Public and instead just formed a Group and got Guns.

‘Insignia’
So how do we know that they are really Nazis if they won’t admit it? There are a number of Evidences out there, first off are the use of the Wolfsangel Symbols in their Insignias.

If you look at the Figures below, the two left are that of the Azov Detachment while the two Black ones on the Right are the Insignias of infamous Waffen-Schutzstaffel (SS) Divisions under Nazi Germany during World War Two (WW2)

The Azov Detachment denies that they are using Nazi Symbols and that the Wolfsangel in their Insignias is just a combination of the Letters “N” and “I” which means “National Idea”.

If so, why make it look like a Nazi Symbol, why not just use the Letters “N” and “I” in some other way, then?

‘Other Evidences’
Azov Members have often admitted to the Press in many Interviews that they are Nazi Sympathizers, like in one Interview where the Unit’s Spokesperson himself said back in 2015 that 10-20% of their Organization are Nazi Members.

The Founder of the Unit named Andriy Biletsky is often described as a Nazi Sympathizer, and did admit to believing in Nazi Views in terms of White Supremacy and Racism.

He said in one Interview that, “The historic mission of our Nation in this critical moment is to lead the White Races of the World in a final Crusade for their survival, a Crusade against the Semite (Jew)-led Untermenschen (Socially Inferior People)”.

‘Parting Shots’
So Russian President Vladimir Putin was right all along, that there are Nazi Sympathizers within the Ukrainian Government itself. Nazi Ideology is mainly about Racism, about the Supremacy of the White Race and the inferiority of all of the other Races.

This is perhaps one reason why there are many Cases of Racism against Africans and Indians coming out now in Ukraine as I have posted about before.
