This Movie is now on Netflix and I just finished watching it, and it is pretty good. As of this writing it is ranked First in terms of Viewership on the Top Ten Movies on Netflix Philippines, so it is good that a lot of People are watching it.

The Movie is based mostly on the Findings of the Board of Inquiry (BOI) back in 2015 which was led by Benjamin Magalong who was a General of the Philippine National Police (PNP) back then.

My only Issue is that the Night Scenes at the start of the Movie was a bit confusing at times, I felt they should have overlaid some Maps showing the Locations and Positions of the Forces so we can appreciate better what was happening.

Otherwise it is pretty good. The Acting was great, the Storytelling was pretty decent, and I felt they really captured what happened in Mamasapano back then, more or less. To me, the Movie is also a good Reminder of how we can’t even totally eradicate armed Groups there in Mindanao like the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (or Mothers I’d Like to Fakk, or MILF, LMAO), and now we have the ambition of fighting a World Superpower like China

One big Reason I am all for the Modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is so we can at least have some Pride to be able to totally defeat Groups like the MILF or the New People’s Army (NPA). Note that the MILF is practically a Private Army of Malaysia who gives them lots and lots of Funds.

Anyway, the Movie is pretty good, Highly Recommended, I think everybody should watch it since it is an Important Philippine Movie for me in Terms of our recent Political Events. If you have a Netflix Account, go give it a try.
