This Movie is now on Netflix and I just finished watching it, and it is pretty good. As of this writing it is ranked First in terms of Viewership on the Top Ten Movies on Netflix Philippines, so it is good that a lot of People are watching it.

The Movie is based mostly on the Findings of the Board of Inquiry (BOI) back in 2015 which was led by Benjamin Magalong who was a General of the Philippine National Police (PNP) back then.

Air Force The Movie: Danger Close (2023) Movie Review

I’m still not happy with Malaysia stealing away Sabah from us, but that won’t keep me from appreciating their new Military-themed Movie titled, “Air Force The Movie: Danger Close” that seems to have been inspired and patterned after the “Top Gun” Movie Franchise.

The Production Values are okay, so are the Acting and overall Storyline. Overall it is not necessarilty great, but definitely entertaining enough to watch, no wonder it ended up the number one Movie in terms of Viewership even on Netflix Philippines

Warriors of Future (2022) Movie Review

Yes, I know, that Movie Title seems pretty stup1d, I think at the very least it should’ve been “Warriors of THE Future” instead of just “Warriors of Future”. “Warriors of Future!!!” “WARRIORS OF FUTURE!!!”, LOL. I guess we should be glad they didn’t call it, “Warriors of Golden State”, LMAO.

This is actually a Hong Kong Movie Production, and as far as I know they are pretty good at English also so I wonder what happened with this one. Also they could’ve thought of a more creative Title than one that is a fairly common Phrase or consists of fairly common Words.

All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) Movie Review

The Movie is set during the last Year of the First World War and is told from the German Point of View. It follows a Soldier named Paul Baumer right from his recruitment into the Army and up to the end of the War.

It is a bit long at with around two and a half Hours of Running Time, and there is a slow spot near the Middle for me, but overall it is a pretty good one.

Hotel Mumbai (2018) Movie Review

First, just a Backgrounder. The Movie is based on the 2008 Terrorist Attack on the Indian City of Mumbai where ten Lashkar-e-Taiba Islamic Extremist Terrorists were able to kill around 165 People and injured at least 300 more for a period of around three Days.

As for the Movie itself, I would consider it a Must-Watch as it is a very effective Thriller with fast pacing and decent Characterizations. However, it may not be for everyone as it is mainly about Terrorists armed with Assault Rifles and Grenades murdering unarmed Civilians, and even for me it was pretty hard to watch.

Valley of the Dead (2020) Movie Review

Valley of the Dead Poster

The Plot is the typical “Military against Zombie” that has been used in a number of other Movies or Series before already, but the fact that it is a Spanish Production brings something a little bit different into it that makes it entertaining enough to watch.

The Movie is set during the Spanish Civil War in the late 1930’s just before World War Two (WW2) between the Fascist Nationalists who sided with the Nazi Germans and the Republicans who sided with the Communist Russians.

Interceptor (2022) Movie Review

This is basically a “B-Movie”, but thanks to Netflix’s generous Budget, the Production Values (the Sets, Special Effects, etc.) are a lot better than it would’ve been had it not been a Netflix Movie or a Movie made by any other Streaming Company.

I thought this would be an absolute crap of a Movie, but it turned out to be much better than expected, it was quite entertaining thanks to the above mentioned Production Values and it’s “Die Hard” inspired style where the Main Character goes from one suspenseful or action scene right after the other.

Return to Space (2022) Movie Review

I’m a huge Fan of SpaceX, any Movie or Series about them and I try to watch as much as possible. People have to realize that there is an ongoing revolution on Space Exploration right now, thanks mainly to Elon Musk and SpaceX.

Elon is doing for Space Exploration what Steve Jobs did for Consumer Electronics, or put it another way, Elon is the Steve Jobs of Space Exploration. Musk has made Space Exploration much cheaper, and much more accessible by People compared to what it was before.

SAS: Rise of the Black Swan (2021) Movie Review

A bit of a disappointment, it does have some good points for it, one is the attempt to cover some Socio-Political aspects of being in the Special Air Service (SAS). I like the setting as well, mostly set in the United Kingdom (UK) and the Eurostar London-Paris Train System.

However, there are some slow spots towards the middle, and from there it was downhill the rest of the way, devolving into Cliches and derived materials. Also in this day of John Wick type Movies, the Action Scenes were pretty lame and generally unimpressive, especially in the second half of the Movie.

Mosul (2020) Movie Review

I rarely make Movie Reviews for this page, but I decided to do one now because I found this one to be quite exceptional. First of all this is not your typical Western War Movie, most if not all of the Actors and Actress seem to be Arab or at least of Arab descent.

It has more of an Arab perspective, and the Dialogue is available only in Arabic, so you will have to use Subtitles to watch it if you don’t speak that Language.
