Philippine Officials admit EDCA Bases will be used to protect Taiwan against China

Another explosive revelation in the Special Report by Reuters about the recent Geopolitical Situation in the Philippines was how some talkative Philippine Government Official themselves anonymously admitted that the Military Bases in the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) will likely be used to support the United States (US) in a War against China over Taiwan. Quoting from the Report: 

“Privately, five current and former Filipino Officials acknowledged the Bases would likely become Staging Grounds for any Conflict over Taiwan. Three Officials said the Sites would house Prepositioned Equipment and Fuel. Three of the new Sites are in the Northern Part of the Philippines' Main Island of Luzon, close to Taiwan. The U.S is also in talks to build a Port on the strategic Batanes Islands less than 200 km from Taiwan.”

The Report also mentioned the importance of US access to Philippine Military Bases for the defense of Taiwan, again quoting from the Report: 

“War Games staged last year by Think Tanks, including the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), based in Washington, illustrated how indispensable the Philippines would be for a U.S defense of Taiwan.

U.S. access to Philippine Runways and Aircraft Fuel proved vital in Scenarios showing a successful repulsion of Chinese Forces in the early Days of a Conflict, said Becca Wasser, a Defense Analyst and Wargaming Expert who ran the Exercises for CNAS and has done the same for the U.S. Department of Defense.

“I think that crystallized how important the Philippines could be and how, in some ways, relying on Japan and Australia, which are farther away, is just not enough,” said Wasser, who leads The Gaming Lab at CNAS.”

‘Public Position’

This admission by the anonymous Philippine Government Officials are contrary to the Public and Official Position of the Administration of Bobong Bong Marcos (BBM). In April of this Year of 2023 for Example, the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Enrique Manalo told the Press that, “If the United States tries to invoke the EDCA, it would be inconsistent. I don’t think they could use the EDCA because it’s quite clear what purpose EDCA Activities are for.”

‘Parting Shot’

So here we are now, DEFINITELY and 100% will be drawn into the War between China and the US over Taiwan. And to think that the US isn’t even adequately compensating us for it, despite they themselves saying how “Indispensable” the Philippines is in the defense of Taiwan. 

The US gives Hundreds of Millions and Billions of Dollars per Year to other Countries that is giving them much LESS and is instead often giving the Philippines Military Equipment that is just a Step above JUNK. 

Also don’t forget that Taiwan STOLE Itu Aba from the Philippines, and that they are also claiming Batanes as Part of theirs. And now here were are, about to KILL and DIE to save their A**es, and just for PEANUTS in Terms of Compensation ...
