| The Manila Times (TMT): PH Fishers lament inaction vs Vietnamese in WPS |

Two Groups of Fisherfolk from Palawan and Zambales called the "Kalayaan Palawan Farmers and Fisherfolk Association" and the "Pangisda Pilipinas (Fisherfolk Philippines)" are calling attention to the Fact that Vietnamese Fishers are driving them away from the Philippines' Traditional Fishing Grounds.
The Groups said that Vietnamese Poachers are conducting Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing within the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Philippines. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) are reportedly in the Area but are not going after the Vietnamese Poachers.
These Poachers are also reportedly using Cyanide and Dynamite when fishing that is causing irreparable Damage to the Environment and adversely affect the catch of Philippine Fisherfolk.
For me the biggest Question to ask here is why are the Philippine Press, Government Agencies and Lawmakers constantly complaining about China doing this or doing that within our EEZ, but when it is Vietnamese Poachers doing the same or even worse they are so quiet about it?
That’s Vietnamese Poachers already conducting Cyanide and Dynamite Fishing within the Philippine EEZ, so where is the outrage now? If it was Chinese Poachers who did the same thing, you would be hearing non-stop about it from them.
Instead, you have the Administration of Bong Bong Marcos (BBM) just constantly and actively engaging with the Vietnamese Government. The Hypocrisy is just unbelievable.
