Cooperation with China results in a record-breaking Expedition Dive for Indonesia

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) of China and National Research and Innovation Agency (NRIA) of Indonesia recently conducted a Joint Expedition into the Java Trench of the Indian Ocean recently which resulted in a new Record for the deepest dive for the Country of Indonesia at a depth of 7,178 meters. 

The Expedition was made from February 23 to March 23 of this Year of 2024 onboard China's Deep Sea Submersible, the "Fendouzhe". The "Fendouzhe" was launched from the Chinese Vessel "Tan Suo Yi Hao" which also visited the Port of Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

The Expedition was met with a Welcome Ceremony upon its return to Indonesia where the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Kang said: "China and Indonesia have been deepening research collaboration in Marine Sciences in recent Years. I hope Scientists from our two Countries can achieve more high-quality research results in the future and contribute to the blue Economy and Sustainable Development."

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia "Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan" said that the Expedition has opened a new Chapter for the two Countries to strengthen Maritime Cooperation, and that he hopes the China and Indonesia will further expand Scientific Cooperation and cultivate more Scientists and Engineers for Indonesia.

So while the Philippines is slowly going into Chaos preparing for a possible War with China, other South East Asian (SEA) Countries continue to have a healthy and beneficial Relations with China in various Fields like Science and Exploration. 

Note that the United States (US), the supposed "Ally" of the Philippines has not been able to do for the Philippines in the same way that China has done for Indonesia in Terms of Expeditions. Take a look at the "Philippine Rise" or "Benham Rise" for Example, no Drilling has been made by the Philippines and/or the US there up to now. 

The Area is just going to waste unexplored. We are supposed to be protecting it very tightly against China, but we are not doing anything with it either for many Years now.
