The New People's Army (NPA), the armed Component of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), is back on a killing spree again after they murdered five innocent Civilians whom they accused of as "Military Informants" in Negros Occidental.
No less than four different Commands of the NPA publicly assumed responsibility for the Murders: The Leonardo Panaligan Command, Roselyn Jean Pelle Command, Armando Sumayang Command and the Mount Cansermon Command.
These Murders are a major blow to the efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to totally defeat the NPA as Civilians in that Area will now be hesitant to provide critical Intelligence Information to them against the NPA.
Intelligence such as the Movements of the NPA, their Locations and the Activities they are undertaking, etc. are all critical for the success of the Operations against them, and without it, it will allow the NPA to survive and even thrive better in that Area.
Note that this comes after the AFP has been forced to shift from focusing on Internal Groups such as the NPA to an External Conflict with China, thanks mainly to I think are the Anti-China Propaganda Efforts of the Intelligence Services of the United States (US) who are being supported by the Oligarchs thru the Philippine Press which they own.
And apparently, the CPP has realized the Value of having the AFP shift the focus away from them and instead on China, and has decided to join the Anti-China Propaganda Drive. This is very evident on their Leftist Supporters and Sympathizers who have been very vocal against China lately.
I won’t name them anymore, you all know who these Groups and Politicians are, and watch how they are actively supporting the Anti-China Sentiment right now.
Despite the AFP already claiming Victory there, Negros Occidental seems to be fast becoming a Haven for the NPA and their Sympathizers. Just three Months ago, in February 2024, no less than a Bishop of the Catholic Church went out and criticized the AFP for using Attack Helicopters against the NPA there, saying that it was “Overkill” to do so. I don’t know if the AFP had used such Helicopters there again since then.
