Thanks to a heads up from one of this Page’s Followers on Twitter, it turns out that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) had contracted the Company called Modelworks Direct to make Mock-ups or Full-sized Models of the AIM-9L Sidewinder Short Range Air to Air Missile (SRAAM) for their use.

Here is the Youtube Video on how they made the Mockup:

A closer look at the Sidewinder Missiles on the Philippines’ FA-50 Aircraft

The 5th Fighter Wing of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) recently released several Photos during the Change of Command Ceremony of the Wing, and in the background we can see the AIM-9L Sidewinder Short Range Air to Air Missile (SRAAM) attached to the Wingtips of their FA-50PH Fighting Eagle Aircraft.

From what I can see, it seems that these Sidewinders are similar, if not the same as the Replica or Dummy Sidewinder Missiles that were sent to my Inbox a couple of Years ago with their painted Nose Cones. I still can’t show those Pictures to the Public for now, though.
