As per Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana in his Interview with the Inquirer News Publication, the actual number of Black Hawk Helicopters approved by President Rodrigo Duterte is not just 15 but as many as 32.

Lorenzana said that the Yearly Payment can be covered by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Fund and Funds from the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA)

Total Cost for the Helicopters is around Php 32 billion, which is Usd 666.67 assuming an Exchange Rate of Usd 1 = Php 48. This amounts to Php 1 billion (Usd 20.83 million) per Unit.

Initial Down Payment upon Contract Signing is 15% of the Total Cost which is Php 4.8 billion (Usd 150 million), succeeding Payments to be upon Delivery within 3-5 Years.

Lorenzana is hoping the Contract will be signed within this Year (2021).
