ASEAN Briefing's Article on US Defense Secretary Austin's visit to Indonesia |
You can’t have a more Contrasting Set of Events than the recent Visits of United States (US) Officials to the Philippines and Indonesia.
In the Philippines, some Filipinos were very busy doing stup1d things like sabotaging Relations between the Philippines and China just so they could kiss and worship the A$$ of visiting US Vice President (VP) Kam-ala “Cum-A-Lot” Harris.
But in Indonesia, their Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto told the visiting US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin IN PUBLIC that they have the right to continue close Relations with China and Russia, and adopt a Neutral Geopolitical Stance.
Just so many quotable “Gems” from the Indonesian Defense Minister and the Article itself, like these:
* Asked about Western pressure to cut off those Defense Procurements, Subianto said, “We have a longstanding relationship with Russia and China. We have relationships with Russia for many, many years. Our Military uses Russian Equipment. We value our relationship with China. As an independent and sovereign Country, we reserve the right to use and acquire Equipment from many, many Countries”
* Subianto said Indonesia sees China as a friendly Nation and expects to resolve overlapping Territorial Claims through Negotiation
* The Dialogue indicates that Indonesia will remain on polite and constructive Terms with the United States, however, sees itself as rather detached from the ‘American Values’ Philosophy as a Muslim Nation
* Its closest allies are more likely to be with ASEAN, Beijing, Saudi Arabia, and Moscow than Washington. It is certainly not going a be a party to any Western Security Pact
So, as I posted an Article about before, Vietnam doesn’t want to go into a Military Alliance with any Country, and now Indonesia tells the US to fakk off with their “Military Alliance”. That leaves the US only with the Philippines, the only Country in South East Asia (SEA) that they can manipulate like Puppets.
And the only Country where they can have a Military Alliance for Spare Change, like Usd 100 million to buy their very expensive Military Equipment, and another Usd 70 million to upgrade Bases they themselves will be using. A total of Usd 170 million for … what, until 2028? It should be Usd 170 million PER YEAR.
Anyway, for some Filipinos, having the opportunity to kiss American A$$ in exchange for almost unlimited US Military Access to the Philippines is more than enough daw, LOL.
