Another show of Hypocrisy by the US on the issue of UNCLOS

The United States (US) did another show of hypocrisy on the issue of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) when US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that China was the “most flagrant violator of UNCLOS”.

By issuing such a Statement, the US is implying that it is upholding UNCLOS when the reality is that they are not even a Signatory of it since US Lawmakers have repeatedly blocked the signing of the Law since the 1980s.

Pompeo is either ignoring the fact that his own Country is not a Signatory of the Law, or worse he himself doesn’t know that they aren’t one.

Sangley Airport Project supposedly to be co-used by the AFP

The Philippine Navy’s (PN) Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo said that he is opposing the removal of the PN out of Sangley Point to give way to the Sangley Point International Airport (SPIA) Project.

I too would not agree to the removal of the PN from the Airport just to give way to the Project, but as far as I know, the SPIA will be co-used by not only the PN but also the Philippine Air Force (PAF) as mentioned in News Reports in December 2019.

The Inquirer itself mentioned in the Article above that only the PAF was mentioned in News Reports last December 2019, but as can be seen from the Link I provided from the Philippine Star, clearly the PN is mentioned there also.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft have successfully landed in the Canary Islands in Spain as confirmed by this beautiful Picture from the Jet Photos Website and information from the Flight Aware Website.

However, the Flight Aware Website lists their next Flight as to Lisbon in Portugal instead of to Malaga, Spain as was earlier reported in the Brazilian Websites.

The Aircraft are expect to make their next Flight at around 4:00 PM Philippine Time, it will take around 2 hours so they should be in Lisbon at around 6:00 PM later.

SC-105 Amazonas Aircraft supposed to accompany the PAF Super Tucanos landed in Cape Verde in Sep. 4, 2020

The SC-105 Amazonas Aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force with the Aircraft Registration Code FAB6551 that was supposed to accompany the A-29 Super Tucanos of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) actually only made its flight from Fernando de Noronha in Brazil to Cape Verde in Africa yesterday, September 4, 2020 as per Aircraft Tracking Websites like FlightAware.

The Aircraft took off from Fernando de Noronha at 7:01 am and landed in Cape Verde at 1:32 pm, a flight of 5 hours and 31 minutes. If it had accompanied the PAF Super Tucanos during the flight, then those aircraft would’ve already landed in Cape Verde also.
