Philippine Air Force adopted the “Spotter-Shooter” Tactic for Close Air Support Missions

One of the Items mentioned in the “Effective Practices Volume 1” Publication that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) recently released was their adoption of a “Spotter-Shooter” Tactic at least as early as the 2017 Battle of Marawi for their Aircraft to reduce the risks during Night Close Air Support (CAS) Missions.

The Concept is fairly simple, two Aircraft work together as a Team where one acts as “Spotter” to look for the Enemy and relay its location to the “Shooter” who attacks it using its Weapons. The Spotter flies at a higher altitude and orbits a bigger Radius than the Shooter.

Anti-Aircraft Artillery Fireteam deployed in Pag-Asa Island

PAF AAA Fireteam deployment on their Effective Practices Vol. 1
PAF AAA Fireteam deployment on their Effective Practices Vol. 1

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) just recently released their “Effective Practices Volume 1” on their official Website, and one of the Items mentioned there was how an Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA) Fireteam either has already been deployed, or will be deployed at the Pag-Asa Island in the Spratly Islands Chain.

Remember that other Countries in the Spratly Islands also have deployed AAA in their occupied Islands, so this is not something new or something that only we are doing in the area. In fact, other Countries have deployed more sophisticated AAA than us.

Ungrateful Hidilyn Diaz badmouths China who helped her Olympic Campaign

After her success in winning the Philippines’ first ever Gold Medal in the Olympics, the Philippine Press apparently has been goading Hidilyn Diaz to say something bad about China

Unfortunately it seems she has given in to the pressure and has started saying exactly that, with her being quoted saying things like how the Chinese National Team supposedly got angry at her Chinese Head Coach Gao Kaiwen for not telling them how good she really was.

First of all, I would like to thank both the Local and National Governments for providing and facilitating my free vaccination for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19)

Actually I was hoping to get the CoronaVac Vaccine, but we couldn’t choose and so I got Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Ad26.COV2.S 1-shot Vaccine instead which was being offered that particular Day.

Shameless display of China-baiting and American A$$ Kissing by GMA News on the issue of Liao Qiuyun

GMA News' shameless and biased manipulation of the News thru captioning and use of Pictures

An utterly shameless display of China-baiting and American A$$ Kissing was made by the Philippine News Publication GMA News recently on the issue of Chinese Weightlifter Liao Qiuyun

GMA News made an Article on how Bronze Medalists were supposedly happier than Silver Medalists, then used a Picture for the Article of Hidilyn Diaz posing candidly with a Bronze Medalist while Silver Medalist Liao was standing pensively on one side.

Thanks to a heads up from one of this Page’s Followers on Twitter, it turns out that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) had contracted the Company called Modelworks Direct to make Mock-ups or Full-sized Models of the AIM-9L Sidewinder Short Range Air to Air Missile (SRAAM) for their use.

Here is the Youtube Video on how they made the Mockup:

Helicopters are more difficult and dangerous to fly than Fixed Wing Aircraft

Here is a nice Article about the differences in flying Fixed Wing Aircraft (FWA) versus Rotary Wing Aircraft (otherwise known as Helicopters) from a Pilot Training Website. From the Article we can see that it is inherently more difficult to fly a Helicopter than a FWA because of its more complicated control system and Aeronautical considerations.

Helicopters also fly at lower altitudes than FWA, hence there is much less reaction time before they hit the ground if something goes wrong.
