And Digong Duterte has been proven right again when he said several Months ago that more Military Bases will be given to the United States (US) as the US just announced exactly that recently. 

The Chief of the US' Indo-Pacific Command Admiral John Aquilino announced to the Press that he is already discussing with the Armed Forces of the Philippines' (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. for more Bases to be made available under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA)

US gives old, used Boats in exchange for many Military Bases in Philippines

The Philippine Navy (PN) recently commissioned into Service two secondhand, decades-old Gunboats that the United States (US) gave in exchange for them getting nine Military Bases in the Philippines. The Boats will now be part of the Alvarez-class Patrol Vessels. 

The first of these is the BRP Valentin Diaz (PS-177) which was formerly the USS Monsoon (PC-4) of the United States Navy (USN) and which was first commissioned in 1994, 29 Years or almost three Decades ago.

Indonesia’s Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto recently told the World that his Country will not side with the United States (US) or China in any Conflict, saying that Indonesia will continue to adhere to its free and active Foreign Policy

He also said, “We respect all countries, the United States, China, Russia, India, Japan, and all”. Although this Policy of Neutrality affects both Superpowers, it will hurt the US more as China is already very near South East Asia (SEA)

The High Speed Railway (HSR) in Indonesia built with the help of China has been doing Trial Runs already, the latest of which was attended by the Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The HSR is 142 km long and will connect the Indonesian Cities of Jakarta and Bandung

It has a maximum design Speed of 350 kph. This early talks of extending it to Surabaya which is 700 km away has already started between China and Indonesia. The HSR is set to open next Month of 2023 with 8 trips per Month before finally coming up with a maximum of 68 trips per Month by next Year of 2024.

China plans to help build a Canal that will cut across Thailand and bypass the Malacca Strait

China and Thailand are planning to build a Canal that will cut across the Country of Thailand, connecting the Gulf of Thailand to the Andaman Sea and thus allowing Vessels to bypass the Malacca and Singapore Straits

The Project is expected to cost around Usd 28 billion, and is important for both Countries as such a Canal will allow Trade to bypass the natural Choke Point that is the Malacca Strait which is at its narrowest Point is only 2.5 km across and where the United States (US) could block Ships going to China.
