Our “Ally” the United States (US) has just passed into Law their 2021 Spending Bill which contains a Provision that bans Philippine Government Officials involved in the imprisonment of Maria Ressa from entering their Country.

The Section 7031 - Specific Cases Portion of the Law says that, “The Secretary shall apply subsection (c) to foreign government officials involved in threatening, wrongfully imprisoning, or otherwise depriving of liberty independent journalists who speak out or publish about official corruption or other abuses, including Maria Luisa Ressa in the Philippines and El Faro in El Salvador”.

Here is a very interesting Article not only on Thailand’s Defense Self Reliance Program, but their Proposals as well for the Philippine Military. They are planning to build more Drones and Firearms on their own, and also planning to export Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) and Light Tactical Vehicles (LTV) to the Philippines.

‘OPV’
This has been previously reported before in other News Reports, but some more details have come up here for their Proposal to build OPVs for the Philippine Navy (PN). The deal will be thru a Government to Government (G2G) Contract, and they propose building 6 OPVs, 2 will be built in Thailand while the remaining 4 in the Philippines.

The Philippine News Agency (PNA) came up with a Yearender Report for 2020 on the Modernization of the Philippine Navy (PN), and among the most interesting items I found in the Report are as follows:

* 7 out of 10 High Speed Boats were delivered to the Naval Special Operations Command (NAVSOCOM) in August 2020. These are now undergoing Sea Trials and Technical Inspections.

The Real Story behind Turkey’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 Missile System

Here is a great Article telling the REAL story behind Turkey’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 Triumf Surface to Air Missile (SAM) System.

Basically what happened was this: Turkey originally wanted to buy the United States’ (US) MIM-104 Patriot SAM System back in 2012, but asked for Technology Transfer as well to be included in the sale.

The US President then was the Democrat Barrack Obama who refused to sell it to them with the Technology Transfer package. So Turkey set up a bidding to buy the SAM System from other Countries, and China won the bidding.
